My Story by Dawn Matieschyn

Hi, I’m Dawn Matieschyn, and I am a proud momma of two very loving and kind children, a wife, and an entrepreneur.

Our three-year-old daughter Faith was born with two rare conditions that affect her heart and esophagus. These two conditions have resulted in her having four heart operations under two years young and 17 other surgical procedures to try and provide her with a functional esophagus. Her heart condition is called Shone’s Syndrome, and her esophagus condition is called Esophageal Atresia.

My husband and I spent the last few years moving from house to house so we could properly care for our two children. We found ourselves unexpectedly being able to return to our home after two years of renting it out. Except for this time, we had no idea how we were going to financially provide for our family now that our daughter was home. She requires additional care, so I was unable to go back to my previous office job. After many months of pondering how we could bring in additional income, we developed an online clothing store that has deeply rooted core values of love and kindness for others as its main focus first, in everything we do and with all aspects of our business. We make sure our customers feel confident in what they are purchasing and know that a portion of their purchase will be donated to help other people. We are honored to give back and pay it forward to the Ronald McDonald House Charity Alberta for each sale we make.

Our mission is to help raise awareness of what it’s like for parents who find themselves in this terrible situation and how to overcome it with love, strength, and appreciation of life. We have plans of adding other medical families to be able to sell their items on our website in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. May God bless you and your family.
